News and Announcements

The Shanghai Shooters have returned from the 2006 Philips Lighting Hong Kong 7’s with another good result against Pro opposition. Last year we managed to draw 1-1 with Aston Villa, this year we held PSV Eindhoven 0-0. We also drew 0-0 with Hong Kong 2nd Division Champions, HKFC. In our other match against Glasgow Celtic, we lost 0-2, even though we were the better side in the first half. The lads were magnificent, and I am proud of them all. Let’s hope we have done enough to get an invite back next year

Team Mates

Posted by Shanghai Shooters AFC at Feb 9, 2006 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

So what do we think of our team mates? Well I have collected all your answers to the below questions, and we have come up with the following:-

Most Intelligent – Jon Best

Least Intelligent – Jing Shen/Sam Woollard

Best Trainer – Brian Wallace

Quickest Player – Jon Grant

Most Skilful – Claus Borregaard

Hard Man – Andre Arndt

Biggest Joker – David Barr/Jimmy Allen

Biggest Moaner – Jon Grant

Worst Dress Sense – Justin Malley/Nick Rose

Longest in the Shower – Bertrand Etoundi!!

Aston Villa score in the last minute, from a deflected long range shot, to snatch a well deserve win away from the Shooters. The game finished 1-1. The Aston Villa team included 1st team players Gabriel Agbonlahor, Gary Cahill and Craig Gardner. The Shooters also played Glasgow Rangers and lost 0-1 to a dodgy penalty decision. The Rangers team included 1st team players Chris Burke, Charlie Adam and Steven Smith.
